(LESSON 11):-- What Is The Greatest Obstacle To Success?

“Life is a ten-speed bike.
Most of us have gears we
Never use”
--- Charles Schulz.
Truly speaking, once most people figure out the area where they are most gifted, what hinders them is not talent. It can be channeled down to self-imposed limitation. Which means, what hinders them is --- lack of trust in themselves.

Well, it should be recognized that, hence people believe in themselves, they immediately unleash power in themselves and equally resources around them that immediately will take them to a higher level.

If you have these potentials, it is just a picture of what you can become; the only thing that helps you see this picture and reach for it is belief.

BELIEF IS WHAT TO BUY INTO:
One thing I do know, no matter what your talent is; it will not be lifted to its highest level unless you back it up with belief. Remember this, talent alone is never enough.

To become your best you truly need to believe that best. Below are what to do if you want to become your best:
1. Believe in your potential.
2. Believe in yourself.
3. Believe in your mission.

 Believe in your potential=>
According to great inventor Thomas Edison he said: “if we did all the things we are capable of doing, we would literally astonish ourselves.” So, your potential is a picture of what you can become, people often make the mistake of seeing what is, instead of what could be.

A writer Mark Twain narrated this issue of not believing in your potential with this little story: “ a man died and met St Peter at the heavenly gates, the man immediately realizing that St Peter was a wise and knowledgeable individual, the man asked, “St Peter, I have been interested in military history for many years.

Tell me who the greatest General of all times was?” saint Peter quickly responded, “Oh that is a simple question. It is that man right over there.”
“You must be mistaken, “responded the man, who was very perplexed. “ I knew that man on earth and he was just a common laborer.”

“That is right, my friend, “responded Saint Peter. “He would have been the General of all time, if he had been a General.”
You see, that was an obvious response from St Peter, a response to enlighten us that the laborer in question hardly believed in his potentials.

 Believe In Yourself=>
Well, you have remarkable potentials right! It is one thing to have this belief about your potential and another thing is to have enough faith in yourself capable to make you think you can fulfill it.

So, why becoming agnostic (impossible to know) about believing in yourself? Remember, this is not only a shame; it also keeps you from becoming what you could.
According to philosopher William James, he emphasized that: “there is but one cause of human failure. And that is when man lacks faith in his true self.”

Football coaches narrated this self-belief in the following terms; they made it known that during crunch time, some players will want the ball, while others will want to hide. The ones who want the ball are the self-confidence ones while the ones who hide from the ball have created limitation for themselves.

 Believe In Your Mission=>
Confidence as we treated in our articles 2018 will go well in helping you at time of odds. Even if these odds are against you accomplishing your goal, what matter is; how extent does you believe in yourself?
According to William James, “the one thing that will guarantee the successful conclusion of a doubtful undertaking is faith in the beginning that you can do it.” Then, how does this kind of belief help?

This belief helps when you have confidence in what you are doing and this will give you the power to achieve it. To cap it up, Architect Fraud Lloyd Wright noted as thus; “ the things always happens that you really believe in; and the belief in a thing makes it happen.”

So, what often allows the achievers to keep on going in a negative environment is that belief in their mission. Do not listen to those who say, it is not done that way. May be it is not, but may be you will do it anyway.

Do not listen to those who say, you are taking too big a chance. Definitely, that you achieved that fit is because you believed in what you does.
